Tbilisi City Court sentenced Giga Gigashvili, the former head of City Hall's Environmental Protection Service, to prison as a preventive measure in the case of Vake Park tragedy.
"Expertise, construction, design" specialist was also imprisoned.
In the case of the death of Marita Mefarishvili, on the basis of the ongoing investigation at the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the conclusions of the engineering-technical examination, the Prosecutor's Office charged the former head of the City Hall's Environmental Protection Service with the fact of official indifference, which led to the loss of human life, while "Expertise, Construction, Design" specialist was charged with forging and using a fake official document. The Prosecutor's Office of Georgia disseminated information about this today. Also, three legal entities - "Greenservice +", "Expertise, Construction, Design" and "Mshenexpert" were charged in the mentioned criminal case.
