MIA launches investigation regarding the explosion in the sea in Batumi

The Public Safety Command Center "112" of the Ministry of Internal Affairs received a report regarding the explosion in the Black Sea in vicinities of the city of Batumi, MIA reports.
"Upon receiving the notification, employees of the relevant units of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, including firefighters, representatives of the Patrol Police and Criminal Police arrived at the scene. Miners are also at the place of incident at the moment. All the necessary measures are being implemented at the moment. The investigation is being conducted under Article 229, Part I of the Criminal Code of Georgia, envisioning explosion," the statement reads.
