Taxi drivers of category A will be able to pick up and drop off passengers in the bus lane from April 1, said the mayor of the capital, Kakha Kaladze, at the presentation of the third stage of the taxi reform.
According to him, the Tbilisi City Hall is working together with the Ministry of Internal Affairs on this issue so that category A taxi drivers can go to the bus lane and pick up and drop off passengers from there.
“From April 1, category A taxi drivers will have the opportunity to enter the public transport lane, stop, pick up or drop off a passenger. We are talking only about category A, white taxis. In this direction, we are actively working together with the Ministry of Internal Affairs and will provide you with detailed information later,” said Kakha Kaladze.
The mayor of the capital presented the third stage of the taxi reform to the public.
